Course options include open, college and university level courses from Grades 9 to 12. Students are able to register and start courses at any time throughout the year by contacting their local learning centre. Summer School 2020 COVID-19 Updatehttp://www.thelearningcentres.com/about-us/news/school-news/37Summer School 2020 COVID-19 Update<p>​</p><p>Due to the uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and the extended school closure period, all previously scheduled face-to-face summer courses will no longer be offered face-to-face. Courses which maintain sufficient student registrations will now be offered via eLearning. Students interested in courses not offered through the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) may be able to access them through our partners in the Ontario eLearning Consortium. </p><p>Current SDCSB students are asked to contact their guidance counsellor to discuss course options and to register. Adult students and out-of-board students can register through their <a href="http://thelearningcentres.com/locations">local Learning Centre</a>. Register today!<p>​<span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:arial, sans-serif;color:black;">Each year, the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) offers a variety of summer programs to over 2,000 students. Registration is now open for the SCDSB’s 2020 summer school courses. <br> <br> Summer school credit courses are available this July through eLearning and in face-to-face classes. Face-to-face courses are focused on mathematics and English as a Second Language (ESL), while eLearning offerings include Grade 10 Civics and Careers, as well as Grade 11 and 12 college and university preparation courses. Face-to-face courses are held at the Barrie Learning Centre, July 6-30 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Limited school bus transportation is provided from all areas of Simcoe County. eLearning courses will run from June 30 to July 30. Students can also attain credits through the EduTravel and summer co-op programs.<br> <br> Summer school program details can be found on the Learning Centres website: <a href="/" title="Opens the Learning Centres' website">www.thelearningcentres.com</a>. Students can also get information from their school or from any of the SCDSB’s Learning Centres. Current SCDSB secondary students can register through their guidance counsellor.
